Presidency Message
Dear Sisters,
It’s April and Spring is finally here! This for many of us means opening up our windows and getting the cleaning supplies out. Windows will be washed, gardens prepared, dust and grime of winter removed. It is a time to renew our homes just like the world around us is being renewed.
We would encourage you to not only renew your homes and yards but to renew your spirit. Some ways you might do this are to get outside and enjoy the beauty around you of the blossoming trees and blooming flowers. Enjoy the freshness in the air and the sounds of the birds greeting spring. You can also renew your spirit by reconnecting with friends and neighbors who the cold winter weather may have kept you from seeing. For some getting to the temple was harder to do when it was cold and weather was not so good. Renew your spirit by attending the temple more often now that the weather is nice again. Find a sunny spot near an open window and sit and feed your spirit as you read your scriptures or listen to a General Conference talk. If you will take the time to give your spirit some spring cleaning you will feel renewed and be more able to feel the fruit of the Spirit which is, “love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, and faith” (Galatians 5:22).
Sisters we hope that you enjoy the new season we are blessed to enjoy and the beauty and happiness it can bring to you not only physically but spiritually as well.
Love,
Sue, Amy, Lisa, Jennefer and Jenny
