We are trying to make sure that everyone knows we are NOT to wear the yellow helping hands shirts during our community service project. The church encourages the use of these shirts in natural
disasters and where the church members are working independent of any
other organization, exclusively the church and members working for the
good of the community.
Public Affairs has invited all 32 church’s in Arvada and we are hoping to have them join us. Because of this we do not want to distinguish ourselves from others who may join us by wearing different clothing setting us apart.
We will be extending the trail we started last year 1 mile to the west at 80th Ave west of Quaker 7:30 am Saturday August 3rd. Our goal is to have at least 75 people per ward. Remember we have a family section for families with children. The
TV folks love shooting the little kids with a shovel or rake helping
out. Several member of our city council as well as our city manager will
be with us at the site as well as the BBQ . It will be fun so let's spread the word NOT to wear the yellow shirts and to come out and serve our community and the Lord.
